Caris Cohen Dx's Diagnostic Team Expands

Caris Cohen Dx is proud to welcome two new physicians: Dr. Beatriz Tapia-Centola and Dr. Yanlong (Michael) Zhang. Their arrival enriches the clinical team and furthers the mission of diagnostic excellence.

Dr. BeatrizTapia-Centola is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology. She completed Anatomic Pathology residencies at the Instituto Nacional de la Nutricion Salvador Zubrian in Mexico City and at Yale University, followed by Dermatopathology fellowships at the New York University Medical Center and the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. Dr. Tapia-Centola possesses a passion for superlative patient care and attentive client service. She is eager to collaborate with our referring physicians to ensure optimum care for patients. Her areas of interest include immunobullous disorders, connective tissue disorders and epidermal and mesenchymal tumors.

Dr. Yanlong (Michael) Zhang is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Dermatopathology. He completed an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency, and a Surgical Pathology fellowship, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (Madison, WI), followed by a Dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Zhang has been a leader in the dermatopathology community, with proven commitment to patient care, teaching, and research. He most recently worked as a Dermatopathologist for the Pathologist Group of the Mid South in Memphis, Tennessee before joining our practice. His areas of interest include pigmented lesions, soft tissue tumors and pathology informatics.
